Behavior Analyst Love English Bulldogs
It is important to begin training your bully while they are still young. After your dog is released from his mother’s care it is up to you to properly train them. If you start immediately your English Bulldog puppy’s behavior can be shaped into a properly behaved house pet. It is important to reward positive behavior and appropriately socialize your dog.
It is important to provide positive reinforcement for your dog when they exhibit appropriate behavior. Positive reinforcement is the introduction of a stimulus that will increase a behavior. If your bully is sitting nicely when he meets a stranger, then giving him attention would be an appropriate reinforcer. Also, if you ask your olde English Bulldog puppy to, “come here” then reward them with a scrumptious treat. If you provide positive reinforcement for appropriate behavior you will observe that your dog will naturally begin to perform these behaviors instead of unwanted behaviors.
